Can I select a particular map-view using a url
« on: July 04, 2005, 03:54:14 AM »
Hi all,
I now have 2 maps set up in my MML. Is there a way of going straight to one map-view or other via the url? This would mean that I could show the 2 different map-views on seperate web pages by providing the approriate link i.e "MML Central NZ" starts MML with map 1 showing or "MML Lower Nth Island" starts MML with map 2 showing..

Or do I need to set MML up twice and have each setup with a different default map?

Thanks.
Cheers, Colin.

Colin,

You would need to have two separate .html pages and mmlconfig.xml files.

I have it set up that way right now for testing purposes:

http://JaxWeather.net/mml/   Default map is Southeast US
http://JaxWeather.net/mml/test.html  Default map is Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia over a Radar map.

Ok  - I get that - thanks for that Bob.  :thumbright:

Maybe someone with the appropriate skills could design an asp page such that you could just type in something like www.yoururl.com/mml/index.asp?map=1 or 2 or 3 as the case may be.  Or am I over-simplifying something?

It's something we've got on the wish list to try to solve. Until then, the only way to do it is as suggested, multiple XML config files and HTML pages.
