Need opinions on placing my outdoor sensors

I want to permanently mount my outdoor sensors. My first question is, what schedule PVC should I use. I am thinking about using 1" or should I go larger? Secondly, I have a pitched roof |/\ I want to mount the pole on the side of the house. Must I go above the ridge or is it okay to just get above the rain gutter? I was going to mount the rain collector at the top of the pole, but LaCrosse says it should be mounted 2 - 3’ above the ground. This would block the collector from any rain from the south or east. I was also going to mount the windspeed/wind direction at the top of the pole. I was also going to mount the Thermo-Hygro on the pole, below the rain gutter. I have the WS-2310. Are there any suggestions of changes I should make?

Thanks in advance for any help.
