Server requirements

Hello; My web server runs FreeBSD for an OS, uses Apache and does not have much in the way of special web trick support. So my question is, what does WDL need on the server to work? Thanks.

All it needs is FTP access so you can upload the data txt files from your WD machine (you can do this via the LAN as well) and the ability to serve Flash (.swf) and xml files. No need for asp or php or database support.

And I can confirm that it definitely works fine on a Linux (FC3) server running Apache 2

Where do the WDlive files need to reside on the PC which pulls the data off the weather station? Eg. should they be in the normal WD install directory? Thanks.

The WD Live files don’t go on the PC running Weather Display at all. They just go on the server, preferably in the same directory that the clientraw.txt file gets uploaded into.
