We are lost we have Wxsim and been using it for years WeatherDisplay has uploaded Plantext.txt fine in all this time
But today we end up with plaintext.txttemp not plaintext.txt any one know why
This is normally because you have set WD to upload the files in “Passive Mode” or as a temporary file for the server to rename after upload. This saves visitors seeing errors if they load a page of your website as the file is being updated, thus the file isn’t available and shows as an error.
To check your settings in WD go to Control Panel > FTP & Connections > Connections > bottom left of the screen look for a tick in “Use Passive Mode” & “Rename the file on the server after uploading”.
Make sure both are ticked if you want to use this or untick both if you don’t.
Not all FTP servers allow file renaming, maybe your webhost has changed the rules.
