UV Sensor What and Why

I finally purchased a WiFiLogger for my Vantage Pro and it is up and running. Setup took some attention to detail but it is on line now.

I got my anemometer working as well.

Now, when I look at the information on the Weather Underground website for my station I see the blank for UV information.

My question, why should I install a UV sensor? What are the benefits to me, to others if any.

one issue with a Davis UV sensor is they tend to not last too long if you live in a place that gets high UV (the UV damages the sensor I guess…oh the irony)
