Need testers for new 64 bit version of WD Mac :)

one person I know had the WD settings files in his in the cloud drive/back up or similar and that was the problem

The only backup I use is Time Machine so I don’t think that would affect WD.

have you tried backing up then deleting the ini settings files?

I did delete the 2 ini files you mentioned earlier and when WD started up again, they reappeared on their own. WD still crashes after opening for a couple of seconds. The opening window says WD is loading rain data but from what I can see , no rain data appears in the WD window while it’s open briefly.

it could then be a problem with one of the data files
try as a test back up then delete the data files

Moved datafiles folder from wdisplay to trash but didn’t empty. Program created a new folder and crashed when I clicked Setup or Control Panel.

was there a apple error report?
the more detailed info you can provide the better

Sorry, no problem report or anything else. Is there anything you can think of that I can supply? Any directory, etc.?

what OSX version?
I am running it now 10.14 OSX Mojave
and its not having that problem

OS 10.14.6, iMac Late 2015. I just noticed in the Title Bar …Trial.

new update, been working on some issues that came about with the new compiler
more improvements coming
thanks to the testers for the help!

I was final able to get it up and running. I had to run the script for moving the files multiple times and then the app started up with out crashing.

Every seems to be working as expected.

macOS 10.13.6
Mac mini (2011)
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core 15
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR

that’s good news
yeah, the script does need to be better
or I need some better installer method…that installs the files auto

what weather station type?

Davis Vantage Pro2

It has been running with no issues for several days now

Also, I didn’t need to update the SiLabsUSB driver.

Hi Brian,

It did crash on Monday straight up at 12pm. I think I saw some other post about it crashing at 12pm or maybe it was midnight.

I will let you know if it does it again.

Sean

Hi

I don’t know if this help, but at 9am it stop reporting to Weather Underground. It seems to be still up and running thou.

I have hopefully fixed the crash at noon now in the latest update
