Davis 6332 transmitter with solar sensor

I’d like to move my Davis solar sensor to a better location which receives more direct sun but the location is about 100m away. Does the Davis transmitter 6332 work with a solar sensor or is it designed for an anemometer only? The anemometer would still be cable-connected to an ISS console. I have a DVP2 wireless.

It’s a bit complicated but the bottom line is that it won’t work like that.

The 6332 has the same electronic board as the ISS. The problem is that to get data from any of the other inputs, temp, solar etc. the 6332 station type must be set as “ISS” on the console. Since the system can only have one “ISS” you would lose the data from the original ISS.

I suppose this is a real use case for the WeatherLink Live which can capture multiple ISS

Do you have a reference for that? I know the Envoy 8x can do that (with a whole different data protocol), but I thought the WLL had the same limitation as the console.

Yes WLL can capture data from multiple ISS’s (or 6332 masquerading as an ISS) and will support this configuration.

I took a different route and used a Motenio to capture the data from my ISS and 6332, combine it, and re-transmit to my VP2 console as if they were a single combined ISS.
