Browser issue not showing updated images of WD

I’ve tried several browsers but I can’t get WD to show all updated images??
The local version of file:///C:/wdisplay/webfiles/yate-weather.htm shows and updates correctly, but on the internet; summary.gif, yate-weatherdial.gif & yate-weather.gif are not showing the (15min) updates.

I’ve tried clearing the cache and this works for an instant but then gets ‘stuck’.

Any help much appreciated!

Nick

The link to your website is broken :dontknow: https://www.000webhost.com/migrate?static=true

Ah, been a while since I updated my profile! Thanks Niko!

That link doesn’t work for me, either. . .

Works for me but it’s strange url, could be a free or very low cost host? Anyway the host appears to be caching the content, so in the first instance it’s a “contact your host” issue to see if they can turn off caching. If not there are ways to re-code the page to try to bust the cache.

Strange: doesn’t work here on IE11, Edge or Chrome. Never mind, I wouldn’t be able to help, just curious :?

Do you get an error message or?

IE11 and Edge both say “Can’t reach this page” - full stop - but Chrome said “timed out”: I retried a few times, but nothing.

As I said, don’t let that stop you!

What happens if you ping it?

ping yate-weather.esy.es

Attached. . .

yate.png

That’s odd, your DNS finds the correct IP, but something up the pipe is not allowing you to reach it :?

Is that what’s happening to Nick’s webfiles. . . 8O

I can ping it fine.

It is a low cost but paid host. I’m sure its worked fine in the past, just not sure when this issue started.

Appreciate you guys respoding!!

Nick

Sorry, the ping question was addressed to bitsostring who couldn’t access the page, should have made that clear.

no broken images for me when I visit

Hi Brian

If you look at the time stamps on the various images they don’t correspond?

Nick

looks OK to me

Could it be something to do with my chrome browser then do you think? What could I try?

try ctrl F5
