Solar description not working

I’m having problems with the Solar description. This is not shown correctly.

On a sunny day, It remains as dust/fog
Even though % it set correctly.
From >75% it has to mark ‘Sunny’

What am I doing wrong here

try changing the adjustment factor from 50 to 100 that may help
what is the raw value also which version of WD are you using

I allready changed the adjustment factors, but no difference.
Version 10.37S90

Where can I find raw value: the solar % is accurate (see first attachment)

how do have set the max solar for lat/long
i,e your lat/long settings there
i.e post a screen shot

what weather station type?

Davis Vantage pro

Based on the Lat/Long it appears you are in Belgium.

75% is probably too high a threshold for “sunny” in northern Europe at this time of year, you will almost certainly need to lower it. You can see on the screen you posted above the estimated %. Look at that value when you consider it to be “sunny” and use that as a guide.

The Davis solar sensor is a quite accurate, calibrated, device. As posted above you should have the adjustment factor set to 100, otherwise you are reducing the reading which will make the above problem worse.

Current value (average) is 15%, because we have very bad weather for the moment in belgium.
According solar description, it should be ‘heavy cloudy’. Instead of that, it is showing ‘misty’, the value below 1%

So I think problem must be somewhere else.

Have you set up to use the description from a METAR?

Euhh, what do you mean? Set up from Metar?
I used the standard descriptions

Basic question - where are you seeing this description displayed?

On Control Panel, FTP Connections METAR/NOAA, METAR Download are some options to use a METAR (data from an airport) to set sky and other conditions.

Oh, sorry. I use it on the iWDL mobile display live for mobile

Ah, thanks  I’m not sure what description that is, I don’t think it’s the solar one so probably the author will have to handle this one.

in the solar setup
it shows the expected solar reading for the time of day /time of year
how much below that is your current reading?
i.e it might be that for some reason your VP solar reading is reading too low…and you might need to add an offset to increase that
