Com Port Problems

Using Version 10.37 S92 although was happening in Build 90 too.

My PC restarts everyday.

For some reason recently, WD would load but not receive any data from my Davis Vantage Vue.

The manual fix was to go into Control Panel, re-select the com port and save the settings - data would then be received as normal.

What seems to have fixed it ‘automatically’ is ticking ‘reset com port at startup’.

• Is there any reason why this has happened suddenly?

• And what does ‘reset com port at startup’ do/have I done the right thing?

there has been no changes in WD that would cause a sudden problem like you say
(i.e try testing an older version)
but it could instead be a recent windows update where the comport is not available straight away on windows boot up or similar
and so using the wdstartdelay program is another option
