Icon from Metar

I will need a copy of the metar file to be able to check/test/fix

Would do Brian, but there is nothing contained in the WD Metar folder. It seems that the program only makes use of the current data and then disposes of it, or am I missing something?

WD should be downloading the metar to the folder as set in the metar download directory in the metar download setup

Thanks Brian, have sent metar files.

I have not seen the email yet???

You should have the email now, thanks

not seen it
try instead sending to
[email protected]

Resent, fingers crossed !

yes
but
I want the actual file not the log

Have now emailed you some metar files Brian. Thanks

I have fixed this now in the latest update

Thanks Brian, metar download working fine now.

Probably unrelated, but metars stopped being downloaded after 1350 UTC today. The tafs are still coming in, showing that the download procedure is still working. Metars are still available from the NOAA website so its not clear what the problem is.

Exactly the same here. (Coincidentally, I updated to 10.37S90 this morning, but that’s obviously not the reason!)

you can check yourself
the WD metar download program has not changed

NOAA have changed something - metardownloadlog says “object moved” - perhaps it should now be secure (https) Brian?

it looks like a change by noaa then
(nothing I have changed)
the url to get the metar might have changed or similar

actually if you put the url into a web browser it changes to https
so that is probably all the change that is needed by me to make

let me try that

vers 2.0

All good again - thanks Brian - up to date - also get the TAF downloaded too now.
