White Christmas?

For the first time in many years we may actually see a white Christmas. A northerly from the Arctic is on the way with a real possibility of snow on Christmas Day. I’m not sure I remember the last time that happened here.

yeah would be cool to see that - although I would appreciate the snow to wait until I get home from nightshift at 7am Xmas morning!!!

what happened?

It snowed, but I don’t think Blackpool got any http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=3926037

Saw your ice storm post, nasty…

We got mainly hail, but a little snow and sleet as well. It didn’t really stick and there can’t have been more than a few millimetres on the ground at any time. Interestingly my dad lives about 3 miles north of me and they got a little more, although still not huge amounts.

So still no real white Christmas :frowning:

Chris,
We had our first white Christmas for many years and we are about 20 miles inland from you. There is still some snow on the ground (check the webcam) but it is now starting to thaw. Realy nice on Christmas day.

Best wishes all.
