I hate to say it but 100 mph winds are not uncommon in the areas suggested in Colorado. This time of year with a NW wind shortly after a low passage, the foothills along the Front Range can get windy. Boulder being close to the foothills can get the worst of it. It’s a warm down slope wind that melts the snow though.

What was funny was the news story the next day at Monarch HS. The reporter was interviewing a student on camera, live on TV. The reporter had a down parka complete with hood, scarf, and gloves. The student was all dressed up in a T Shirt and jeans and said it was no big deal! He was in the gym when the roof left the building.
