Why is there an option on the WD Weather Underground send page (Control Panel / Weather Underground) which allows the user to swap gust and average speed? This is pre- checked, and seems to be the reason why some sites on Wundermap are showing gusts lower than the average speed.
its a legacy setting
note that gust speed is actually current speed (which can be lower than average speed, especially for when rapid wind in use )
