I don’t quite understand - the temp and hum data is already imported via the purple air luftdaten option which is filed as airquality2.txt. I’ll attach it again. Presumably you get the PM figures from there as well. Sorry if I’m missing something here !!
Alan
ah
there is option to have another sensor…and so with a different ID number…to use that as the temp/hum sensor
but you want just your main (and only) sensor to be used, yes?
I will need to add that option
That produces the airquality3.txt but opening it with notepad only gives a symbol - no text.
Just to clarify - I don’t need indoor temp and humidity and would use the space on the main screen for the (more accurate than wmr300) temp and humidity produced by the luftdaten sensors. The data already seems to be available in the airqual txt files.
Alan
When you say main sensor - that is disregard what comes from the weather station as indoor t/h and use the luftdaten temp/hum. If so that’s fine.
There is an option to re- label the indoor t/h I think
Sorry if this has become more complicated than it first looked.
Late now here so replies - if needed - tomorrow. Thanks
Alan
Sorry - The wmr300 produces t/h values for indoors as shown on the main screen. I don’t need those and would rather use the space on the screen for the values from the luftdaten sensors. Under the purple air set up it looks as though there is an option to do that but it does not work for the wmr300. You mentioned earlier an override could be put in so the wmr values are ignored. The values I would like shown instead are already imported as a data.json file (airquality2.txt) from the luft sensors . It looks as though the indoor t/h labels can be changed in the advanced/misc set up.
I hope that makes it clear and I really appreciate your time spent for a one off request.
Alan
OK
so you need the normal main luftdaten sensor temp/hum to be basicly extra temp/hum data that you can then do what you like with in WD (i.e show on main screen etc)
Thanks Brian - Which tag do I use for the extra temp/hum - I used what I thought was extra (%generalextratemp1% etc) but still get the wmr300 Outside t/h showing.
Alan
yes, that should be it
and it should be showing the value from your luftdaten sensor (ie it should match what is in the airquality2.txt file)
I could add some debug code
Hi Brian
If I look at the program debug info it is a continuous stream of “no” with the odd gif file resize,
But maybe there is another file hidden away.
Thanks
Alan
Hi Brian
I have ticked the “use main sensor as extra tem/humidity” box in the luftdaten set up box and tried using the original sensor ID, sensor # as blank and BME280 (the sensor type) but still get the wmr300 figures coming up on the main screen whatever I do. Should I use a different number in the %generalextratempn% (where n is a different number - presently 1) Also tried re-starting WD.
Sorry this is proving trickier than it should be !!
Alan
