Datafile content vs log file content
« on: November 12, 2018, 07:09:09 AM »
In mid-May, I've wrongly restored data from the Davis datalogger (I think I ticked an option to restart the ** file). As a consequence, my log file which contained all data from May 1-16 was gone and the new one started from May 16 on. In principle, I've lost half of May data.
Before the year ends, I'd like to see if there is any option to recover that data from May 1-16. Do data files contain same/similar information as the log files? Is there a way to check (read, plot) what's in the data files? As the last alternative, Brian recommended to download the WU data and convert it to the log files' format.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

you can use the graph history or the av/ext data to check on that month data (and day by data ) re the data files
yes, they are basicly the same data, so if the data file is OK then you could try to convert that month to logfile
