Davis Vantage Pro
Davis Vantage Vue connected by USB
do you happen to use a web cam with WD?

No, only Davis Vantage is connected through USB->COM
as a test
try
install to a new directory (via the full install)
then create a file their called
2wd.txt (makes sure its not .txt.txt (i.e disable hide known file extensions)
so that then WD will start up their with no settings, like brand new, as a test

Installed in new folder and created 2wd.txt
are you sure the file is called 2wd.txt
and not 2wd.txt.txt
ie, make sure to unset to hide known file extensions in windows

What can possibly be wrong with 2wd.txt.
I have a video showing the file and whats happening when starting WeatherDisplay.exe
It is too large to upload. Kindly send me an email with info about how I can send it to you.
As you can see i screenshot, file extensions are not hidden

my email address is at the bottom of every forum post, in the signature
if the 2wd.txt is correct then I do not know what is wrong
it could be your virus checker or firewall blocking it even
are you running WD as administrator?
GW400
13 October 2018 12:54

Yes, I’m running WD as administrator and WD has worked for years on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2016.
After upgrading to Windows Server 2019 it stopped working.
I have tried running in compatibility mode and checked fw rules and Windows event log, but can’t see any issues or settings preventing WD to run
I’ll send the video to your mail address
Thank’s for working with me to try to resolve this!
