If WD does its normal FTP starting today my index page comes up like this. How ever if you go to the custom Web Page Setup and retype the file names it will upload it correctly a couple times then revert back. Also if you upload with the TEST button that works until the next scheduled ftp…
also discovered the tag file has my index page instead of the tag file which will not display at all for some reason now.

GIF87athat looks like there is a mismatch going on in your settings
which occurs if you have remote filenames that are the same
and so you end up with an image file uploading as a .html file
check the ftplogfull.txt to see where things are getting out of sequence between local and remote file names

I can not get WD to upload the WX files, bllomsky.jpg, maybe others. I know the wx files are set to create and upload but they don’t, I am using my ftp program to get them uploaded. But it does upload the cactuswren.html and .php files
when you last sent me your settings files, you had all sorts of settings set incorrectly and had things set you did not set etc
was a bit of a mess
I did find something pecular about how you had things setup and made some recommendations to you via email and a program version to test etc
and that seems to have worked
saying now that its not working does not really help me much
what has changed etc on your end
if I was you I would make the changes I recommended…i.e set to use the customise internet and file creation setup…the override…there you can set the times to create and set the times to upload and set the remote file names of the files you want
I have done that but the wxlocal files still do not upload. It quit uploading files as the wrong thing but has gone back to trying to change the directory after every file which slows it down a lot. Wxlocal are set in Internet, File Creation & uploads Setup page 2 are set to create and upload every 10 minutes but are not uploading.
A much simpler method would be a ftp.cfg file
index.html=index.html-10 min
indexdials.jpg=indexdials.jpg-10 min
wxlocal2.html=wxlocal2.php-10 min
bllomsky.jpg=bloomsky.jpg-10 min
gizmo*.jpg=gizmo*.jpg-10 min
Another peculiarity, I have completely turned off File creation uploads Setup #1 creation of energy.jpg, the lights are off, upload and creation times cleared ad the switch turned off yet it is still created and uploaded. that was the file it was uploading as index.html…
I tried FTP/Internet setup, General FTP Set up #1 I am uploading my links.html and stylesheet once an hour. I tried uploading several files in Setup #2 like gauges-ss-basic.html, details.html but it got confused was was uploading the files as the wrong thing and I turned it off.
