MDD hosting

your site is loading for me OK now
why would you give them a hard time, when they explained what happened and what they are doing etc

http://auburnweatherlive.com/ is back now.

Sounds like another day or so for mine. Oh well, such is life.

May be not a hard time but I told them that I did not want that other website shown when someone tries to go to my site, or click on any of my links or on other forums etc. & asked them to remove it ASAP. I also told them that I wanted my site back up & running as soon as poss. so I did not lose any of my regular visitors. I’m not really interested about how when his children grow up how the are going to run the company etc. At the moment it looks like they have lost all the all data that was on the there server, I do have a back up of all the files/folders & pictures that were on there last week so the site should be working as normal when I upload all the missing files/folders etc. They have asked me what files are missing & I told them about 8 years worth, they have not come back to me as yet. I also told them that I’m not moaning but I just wanted the site back up & running.

I can now get onto the forum & sign in, so that’s working, logged into cpanel & it looks like all my email accounts have gone, not the end of the world but annoying, so getting they slowly.

This should be a prompt for everyone that has hosting, anywhere, and that is to do regular full backups of your files!

I did back up all files/folders last week so I should be OK, I have asked them about all the missing files/folders twice & about the email accounts & some other stuff but they have not said any thing about missing files etc. but have answered the other questions. I do not want to upload my back up files in case that screws every thing up, at the moment the site is running on a basic level.

Tarma’s http://www.weberweather.com/ is back.

They are all slowly coming back, sorted mine out as regards to the still displaying the sorry/ 404 page, I cleaned out the cache & I can now get to the site from google. Just need to restore the files & folders so the site will work like it should, but I’m holding back with that in case it screws up the system, my server is “S4” that should be all back to normal I think on Wednesday, if not I will upload my backup, this is very much like when Erice when down.

Except that e-rice never came back…

That’s true, it’s a shame that it went it worked & it was very cheap.

It is good to be back! Now to see if the FTP errors start again or if there is a silver lining to this disaster for me.

We are over 50% back online - 51.4% actually. Most of this has happened within the last 24 hours - we are really hopeful to be back online fully within the next 24.

It does appear they have greatly accelerated the restore process compared to when they started 4 days ago.

Mine should be all done tomorrow.

http://www.halethorpeweather.com and http://jcweather.us are back, I think that’s everyone

I’m seeing their “Sorry” page for both, but we must be getting close.

That may be stuck in your browser (or a DNS issue?) I’m seeing them both up. Try incognito in Chrome to get a fresh connection.

The same with incognito for me so I guess it’s DNS. I’ll just have to be patient.

Seems OK here, clean out your cache. I think they are just about done, “quote The last few accounts on s0 have been restored. We have 263 accounts left on S4 to restore.” Still waiting for them to restore their backup into my account, so my site works.

I see your site on 173.248.191.184 using google’s DNS.
