I would like to be able to publish on my LED sign the “%NOAAEvent%” tag’s output when the NWS issues one. I’m currently using WD to send “%NOAAEvent%” to email contacts using WD’s NOAA Warnings and NOAA Alerts & E-mail. I attached a copy of the file that I’m using for my “rss feed” publication on my LED sign.
A streaming link to my sign can be seen here… Indian Trail Weather - Sample Blank Page WD is publishing all the “Current - Local” weather data for the community as opposed to weather data from a remote location. Kudos to Weather Display!!! =D>
When the NWS issues a weather alert such as “Severe Thunderstorm Warning” your WD tag, %NOAAEvent%, is generated. I would like to be able to publish the weather alert, “Severe Thunderstorm Warning” or any other nWS weather alerts that are issued by them on the LED screen. I need help identifying what specific “tag description” needs to be placed in the “rss-feed” script which I attached in my earlier post for your review.
Perhaps some other forum viewers could help with my question. I hope that my explanation is a bit more clearer.
UPDATE: Steve Fitzgerald from Tyler Texas Weather, https://www.tylertexasweather.com/ resolved my issue by modifying my "rss feed "script. Thank you Steve and thank you Brian for responding to my question … Much appreciated! :D/
Ah, yes you did by responding to my inquiry! Btw in a few months the snow will be here and your great laser snow sensor script “cronlasersnow” will be at work again sourcing the data for my newly modified snow page … http://indiantrailweather.com/wxsnowgraph3.php . I just remembered that the snow board needs a new coat of white paint before the white stuff arrives …
I would like to get rid of the yellow box from %noaascroll% and idealy have “NOAA warning: There are no active watches, warnings or advisories”
instead of:
NOAA warning:
Down Up Stop Top
)
AZZ544
There are no active watches, warnings or advisories
When the page is generated it has this
<span class="M"> NOAA warning:
this is the part generated by %noaascroll%:
<div style="background-color:#FFFF00;width:155px"><center><a href="javascript:movedown()">Down</a> <a href="javascript:moveup()">Up</a>
<a href="javascript:stopscroll()">Stop</a> <a href="javascript:movetop()">Top</a></center>)
</div>
<span class="M"> NOAA warning:
<div style="background-color:#FFFF00;width:155px"><center><a href="javascript:movedown()">Down</a> <a href="javascript:moveup()">Up</a>
<a href="javascript:stopscroll()">Stop</a> <a href="javascript:movetop()">Top</a></center>)
