Davis Vantage pro 2 Reed switch problem

I think my reed switch has had it, it’s not registering any rain at all, My problem is that I can’t see anyway of removing it without taking the tipper off and there doesn’t appear to any way to remove it. any help, advice would be greatly appreciated. it is 12 years old now. it was purchased in 2006.
