OK, I think I’ve got the blank lines in latest.csv problem fixed. I also made one other change, asked for by exactly one user - ever: the printout options (none, short form, long form, and graph and summaries) is now saved on exit, hopefully without breaking anything else! 
Let me know how this goes! If it checks out OK, I think one will be “official”!
