WTB: OS WMR300 anemometer cups

A recent hail storm resulted in one of the anemometer cups on my WMR300 to break off. If anyone has new or used replacement cups I would be very interested in purchasing them.

have you tried to see if you can get spares from where you got the station from in the first place?

I purchased the unit directly from Oregon Scientific and they are telling me they don’t have any replacement parts for sale.

What’s their solution, buy a whole new anemometer?

i think they have discontinued the WMR300
(and I think there is now a WMR500)

It’s hard to nail down OS. The www.oregonscientific.com website redirects (for me) to https://store.oregonscientific.com/us/ and the only professional station that site shows is the WMR86NS. There’s also https://www.oregonscientificstore.com which I think is a dealer, they show the WMR300 but it’s “out of stock”. Google finds a WMR500 “out of stock” page on that site, but I can’t find it linked on the site menu :dontknow:

Even if the WMR300 is discontinued as we suspect it’s pretty shoddy to refuse to supply parts for what was a relatively expensive station

maybe the wmr500 anenometer is the same as wmr300?
even a davis anenometer might work?
