Make sure your data logger is being seen by the PC you are running WD on, I had a connectivity issue years ago and was frustrated, but WD supplies so darn many stations to choose from, some pretty esoteric, that with a mainstream like Davis, the problem is almost certainly NOT WD or Davis, but the wire and gizmos in between. Make sure of the baud rate, too.
