Max Gust Today time does not match peak on graph

Hi,

Why might the time of todays maximum gust not match the peak on the graph?

On the attached screen save you can see the peak wind speed occurs closer to 3/4 between 11:00 and 12:00. Where the time listed is 10:27.

What brought this to my attention was that Weatherlink had the daily hi gust at 10:40

Dennis

that time looks about 10:40
on the graph
matching weatherlink

and is likely to have come from the check of the console’s daily max gust data
but the extreme conditions time is from the loop data, i,e as it occured (3 second updates)…but sometimes the max gust is missed that way and hence why the console max gust is checked against and if that is higher, that is used (and so shows up in the graph data)

Brian,

Thanks for the explanation.

I see the same issue again today (see attachment).

Both the WD graph and Weatherlink indicate the hi wind occurred at/about 3:53 but WD lists the time as 3:41.

For any given statistic, shouldn’t the same value be used?

It became very noticeable to me while working on a new project, that is overlaying an image (IPTimelapse) with weather data from a text file using weather tags. Because I could do it quicker for a test, I used Weatherlink to create/process my tags file. So my website visitors see the hi wind time value of 3:41 on the webpage and 3:53 in the image text.
