WDconsole + Saratoga template issue

it might be these 2 custom tags
$maxgstdirectionletter = ‘%maxgstdirectionletter%’
$maxavgdirectionletter = ‘%maxavgdirectionletter%’

try removing those as a test from the template file

Fine Brian, will check it out…

or better, email me your template file so I can test/check here

Brian here is…

testtags.txt (46.2 KB)

I am not seeing that issue here by setting the file as wxlocal.html, to be converted to wx.html
how have you setup in the config.txt file to have testtags.txt converted to testtags.php?

Brian I will repeat the process again but here is the part of config.txt

FTP server==10.0.0.43
FTP username=sv1iw
FTP password=χχχχχχχχχ
FTP port=21 //default is 21
FTP remote dir=
FTP use passive=Y //(set to Y for yes, N for no)
FTP use remote file rename=clientraw.txt //Write here the remote name: NOTE that
FTP time interval=60 //the interval between two upload of the clientraw.txt and
Save logfile=Y //to save the .txt logfile (set to N to save on disk space)
Logfile metric=Yidwow
Create custom file=Y //converts the custom tags in a file called wxlocal.html to wx.html
Use this filename instead of wx.html=testtags.php
Use this filename instead of wx2.html=
Use this filename instead of wx3.html=
Use this filename instead of wx4.html=
Use this filename instead of wx5.html=
FTP the custom file=Y //will FTP the wx.html or filename you set to FTP server specified
Units for custom tag file output:N
Temp in celsius=Y
Wind in=kts // options are: mph,kts,kph,m/s (changes the custom tags)
Baro in metric=Y
Rain in metric=Y
run cron files=Y // set to N to not run the separate cron files
do custom log=Y // set to Y to create an appended logfile from a template (customlog.txt)
custom log out=customlogout.txt
temp offset= //C
hum offset=
wmr300 channel number=1
Rain Offset=0.0 //mm

ok, so you have renamed testtags.txt as wxlocal.html ?

Yes and this setup produces a texttags.php file with just one value 24.33% and a wxlocal.html with just this tag “%moonphase%”

so that we are on the same page, if you could email me your config.txt file
as I am not able to duplicate this problem with vers 17.1

Ok Brian
here is config.txt…

I said to email the file
not sure why you would post it on a public forum for anyone to download (as it contains passwords)
I suggest you delete this asap

I have deleted the attachment.

Not a big deal Brian, it is just an ftp user with limited rights. But will change it never the less…

Manos SV1IW

also though your WU ID/pass was there too
anyway, I have tested and its OK here (linux desktop)
vers 17.1
I could test on my Raspberry pi 1/2 or 3 next

Ok I will change it although it’s useless for anyone else but me. Please note that I use a Raspi 2, I am not using a Linux Desktop here…

Regards

I have tested on my raspberry 3 and its OK with that too
have you tried deleting the testtags.php file?

Brian yes, I have deleted the file and the one produced is again useless. I suspect that there is something in my testtags.txt that the new executable doesn’t like. So I suggest either to send me a testtags.txt that you know is good or to send you my testtags.txt and try it to produce testtags.php from it What ever you think is best…

but I am using the testtags.txt (renamed as wxlocal.html) that you sent me
and its OK

you could try though deleting (and saving) chunks of code from the template file until you hit on where the problem is

Ok Brian, I will do so, I may also try a pi 3 which is the only thing haven’t tried so far.

Manos SV1IW

OK, I will look at adding those as well just need to find the spare time currently busy planting native trees
I have now completed stage 1 of my native tree planting project (9000 native trees, that I grew myself, took me 2 months of hard work (with some help) stage 2 next year, rinse and repeat
