Weather Flow 24 Hour Rain

Afternoon - just trying to work out how WD gets its 24 hour rain from Weather Flow as the reporting from the Weather Flow app and the WD do not seem to correspond.

Attaching 2 files - one showing WD with 2.4mm last 24 hours and Weather Flow with 6.2?

I have also found that even through Weather Flow is reporting rain, WD often comes up the text ‘stopped raining’ even though the rain fall total keeps going up in small amounts.

As ever any help/thoughts would be great,

Andy

Hi, firstly … lucky you. Have been waiting for ages for a SKY unit to join up with the AIR that was received months ago.
Currently you’re the only operator of a SKY in the UK.

Is the answer to your question as simple as the fact that WD resets it’s counter at midnight, whereas the Weatherflow app reports the past 24 hours worth of rainfall, counting back 24 hours without resetting at midnight?

It’s a bit of a guess, becuause we don’t yet have a SKY unit to play with.

That makes sense - hope you get your sky soon, i know they are shipping. Its quite impressive so far.

Having used a Davis VP2 before the Weather Flow rain gauge is much more sensitive which is great and the wind so far is proving reliable.

yes, its a rolling 24 hour rain that the weatherflow app reports

weatherflow are going to be shipping the units from the 1st May by the looks
