Can't extract data from logger Vantage Vue

I had a power outage at home today for about 4 hours and also Wednesday. I’m trying to extract the data for the downtime from the logger but when i click Extract data from logger the action box pops up and stays at 0%. I’m running the latest version of WD. Live data is updating from the logger so they are communicating. Any help would be great.

try instead
go to control panel , data logger
and there set the time/date to get the data from
click on OK
then exit WD and restart

I gave that a try Brian but still the same result. Action box pops up but stays at 0% indefinitely.

what shows under view, debug info?

Very hard to pinpoint the exact text as it runs so fast but basically its says

Asking for archived data download
Davis VP Retrieving data from: day 29 month 4 year 2018
Retrieving data from: hour 11 minute 21
ask for time/date of record…

Sending OK…

Then when i abort it records that in the log.

what data logging interval is the data logger set to?
is the time/date on the data logger the same as the pc?

Interval is set to 1 minute.
Time and date are the same on the logger and pc.

I am not sure what is wrong
but one thing that seems to work is to do a complete reset of the data logger
(i.e power down console, remove data logger for 5 minutes, re power up console, re setup it up (set 1 minute logging interval and time/date)
(but you would want to use another way of getting the current missed data into WD, eg via the weatherlink .wlk file)

Thanks Brian, bit of a messy way to get the data retrieved but needs must i guess.
