New Raspberry Pi

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while so I recently purchased a Raspberry Pi 3 model B. My ancient Dell PC recently died when the power supply failed but that was replaced and it’s up and running again. But it did make me think seriously of what to do for my next weather PC. I’m going to use the Raspberry Pi to (hopefully) move the NOAA weather radio streaming from the old PC to the pi. I see some are using the Raspberry Pi for WD as well. Wouldn’t one need a hard drive/SSD for that? Not sure if I’ll go that route for WD but I may move it to a low power linux box. The only stumbling blocks at the moment are what to do with running Weatherlink and the Boltek lightning system with the old PCI card. :-k

you can use a usb hard drive
