Hi. I was wondering how the Average Wind Speed and Maximum Average Wind Speed is calculated that is reported on the Weather Display main screen? Is there somewhere that definitions are listed for these items? Thanks for any answers.

Hi Brian. I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 using WD 10.37S66 on Windows 10.

the average speed is a rolling 1 minute average
the Davis station only provides one windspeed, the current (or gust) speed every 2.5 to 3 seconds or so
you can set to show 10 minute average windspeed (which is often used)
