WD defults to /dev/ttyUSB0

Hi
I had to do a reinstall and when I started WD changed the com port from /dev/ttyUSB0 to no com port for a WH1080.
After the restart to get up and running ,the com port has defaulted back to /dev/ttyUSB0
I have tried several times but always the same answer. If you put another /dev/tty** into it then that is changed so why not a no com port i.e blank
Regards
John

a WH10810 type station uses HID USB
i.e no usb port or number needs to be selected

Yes you are right, but when I open WD the comport N0 is defaulted to /dev/ttyUSB0
and i cannot change it to no port as it keeps defaulting back to /dev/ttyUSB0

you do not need to select any port when using a WH1081
do not worry about it defaulting to some port you did not select…its not used anyway
