My motherboard failed and I have replaced the computer. New computer new hard drives (SSD’s). I still have the old hard drive but need to know the best way to move forward so I can get Weather Display back up and running.
The problem is that because the motherboard died I was unable to comply with:
On the old computer - In Weather Display go action, backup registry entry
Because the motherboard crashed I was unable to go to actions, backup registry entry
Are you sure the reg backup file isn’t on the old disk? There’s an automatic function for that backup in WD and I think it defaults to on.
Yep, in the wdisplay folder on the old hard drive there should be a folder called “databackup” and the reg file is in there.
WD has defaulted to create backup the files for a few years now, so unless you turned that function off the files should be there. 
Thanks to everyone for their help. I am now up and running again. The issue was with Virtual VP, once I got that sorted out everything else fell in place.
