VP2 Barometer precision
« on: February 11, 2018, 10:24:52 PM »
WD is showing the pressure (in hPa) to 1 dp, as desired, but seems to only change with every full ~1.0 hPa change in the pressure.
I have Davis VP2 so the pressure should change every 0.1 hPa, no?

My logs look something like this:

1000.0
1001.0
1001.9
1002.9
1004.0
etc.

Here's a link to my WD screenshot, and it's clear from the pressure graph that is moving in 1 hPa increments:

Hi, perhaps WD is getting the value from an airport METAR.
Your reading of 992 matches the reading from Heathrow (changed down 1mb around 4am)
Check settings for the METAR download in FTP/Internet setup.

re connection, I mean, is it usb, serial ,ip or via weatherlink.com
but I suspect Martyn is correct
you might have set for WD to use the barometer from a downloaded metar
