This is kind of an odd one. WD has been running perfectly fine for months then this morning it crashed. Restarted it (and the computer) and after about five minutes it crashes again. Updated to the latest WD version and am seeing them same thing. Haven’t touched my weather computer in a long time so nothing changed with it.
try turning off the main internet switch as a test
the likely suspects are a corrupted web cam image if you are using that
or a problem with a custom screen or similar
No go unfortunately. Installed the update, started it up, turned Internet switch off. Still crashes although the Event Viewer log (below) changed a bit. I guess that could be because of the debug version. Simply gives a “close program” message with no further info.
I don’t use the webcam stuff and don’t have any custom screens configured.
I’m at a loss. Went through all the internet file creations and turned them off. Turned off the Override in there was well. Turned off CWOP and other third party site submissions. Still crashing.
Note… This is occurring every 10 minutes, not every five like I said before. Timed it to be sure.
Attached is the Windows Error Report log. At the bottom is the “Debug Info” from within WD.

No, I didn’t have the WD restart set and no, not using wdwatchdog. So… I turned the Internet master switch on and it does indeed crash more frequently, about every five minutes as I originally thought.
However, I kept playing with it, turned off CSV creation option (set for every half hour), and - knock on wood - it has been up and running for more than an hour.
Gave everything a good check, including disk space, when this started happening and all is good. 350GB of 512GB still available.
This morning it is still up and running fine. Tonight when I get home I will turn back on the CSV generation and see what happens. I rarely use the CSVs so going without isn’t a big deal anyway.
