Metar Downloading not working

Another one… One thing leads to another and I started checking out the ‘production’, ‘test’, and windows 10 test systems and I found the METAR download not working. I have no idea how long it’s been like this, IIRC I haven’t changed it since setup 10-11 years ago.

Prod and test are XP systems, and WD is 10.37S-B49.

I have attached 3 files, two are the metarsdownload log, the 3rd a snippet from the FTPFull log showing the failure point (dns error??). Will SKS take a gander and let me know what I should be changing /doing to fix this.

Thanks

Ken

Hey, West Coast Kiwi’s got hammered by that T/S from the Loyalty Islands… Hope you and Yours made it through ok!

Ken

yes, the remains of a TC hit the west coast of the south island hard
the problem was, the tasman sea had record high sea temperatures and that made the system retain some of its energy and moisture more
and then it hit a cold front and jet stream and deepened rapidly

there was plenty of warnings…of 50mm/hr rain rates and 400mm rain totals
but people just ignored those warnings and then got trapped by slips and had to spend the night in their cars etc
also severe gales flattened forests and blew down buildings including a 100 year old wooden iconic church
