Hy to all,

In particular what’s meaning of maximum snow level?
Which level snow accumulates on the ground in the fotecast?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,

Alessandro

These are heights above ground (or sometimes calculated to be below ground) at which the snow melts into mostly rain. The maximum is the highest minimum level of the day (usually in the afternoon) and the minimum is the lowest minimum value of the day. Snow might falls down as low as 1300 meters in the afternoon, and then as low as 1100 meters at night. Thsi of course is meant for mountainous regions, where those levels have something for it to snow on!
