Lacrosse 2315

My parents are running a 2315. There power was out for about 7 hours. When restarting WD, it keeps extracting data. But, It’s been doing this for almost 2 hours now and their website is down because of this. Any ideas why it is doing this?

Their running build 49 because I haven’t been their to get it updated for them to the newest version.

I shut the data logger off in WD and its now fine. But, what do you think is making it hang and not complete the data extraction?

Im wondering if a file got corrupted when the power went out.

WD uses a 3rd party program to get the history data (histlog2300 )
did the console have battery back up during the power cut?

Yes it did have batteries.

You have any other thoughts on this Brian?

have you tried clicking on abort?

yes, that closes the screen but wd won’t recieve any data after hitting abort.

what if you turn the switch off in the data logger setup and then restart WD
does it get live data?
is the comport number set correctly still?
maybe windows changed that (check with device manager)
the other thing it could be is that the console comms has been blown by the power cut (this has happened to others)

Yes, if its turned off then restart wd, it works fine.

Ill double check the other settings you mentioned.

if the com port number has changed then you will need to click to change that for the 2310 history data in the comport setup
