WD Startup after reboot stuck on downloading data
« on: January 10, 2018, 06:20:10 PM »
Was running build 52 and updated to 62 this morning.

My computer did a Windows Update and after it restarts, WD is stuck downloading data from my VP2.
It was stuck for 8 hours last night until I noticed it this AM. I have to click on ABORT on the download dialog box to get data flowing again.
This has happened lately on my computer, but 99% of the time after a reboot.

Did this with 52 and again this morning after I installed build 62. A setting I could try and change?

Is that a setting in one of the menus? I will give that a shot.

This has happened to me a couple of times. Very annoying.
This is how I fix it.

After WD is started, go to Control Panel > Data Logger -> in VP/Vue station setup, change the data logging interval to a higher number. Save Data and exit WD. Start WD again, after WD is running go back to this setting and return the value to 1. Save and restart. This has worked for me. If it doesn't correct the issue, you can re-set the data-logger itself, however you will lose any cached data contained in it.

wdstartdelay.exe you simply set that to be started on windows start up instead of weatherdisplay.exe
