Davis Envoy8x, not worth getting?
« on: January 08, 2018, 04:45:53 PM »
Hi all.
I'm still looking at replacing my davis VP2 with a new one, but in the short term, I need to replace my console with an envoy.
It will connect to my PC for weather display via serial logger.

Is the Envoy8x an option or should I just get the plain and simple basic envoy?
Reason for considering the Envoy8x would be to log both old and new iss/anemometers at the same time, but can weather display actually deal with that?
Cheers

The 8x is a whole different animal. Note that you may find a good deal on another console which would be a more useful option than an Envoy.
