I suspected that person was using meteohub
that sort of information should always be made avaialble
For some reason the heat index value in your clientraw file is stuck at 1400Cā¦ Maybe Brian can be more help on why that is - I honestly have no idea!
I have no idea either
I have not seen that issue before
what version/build of WD?
Using the latest version (download 29 june), upload the files with meteohub
In response to the enormous value for the heat index, first to Brianās question about version. I was about three or four behind, like 68 vs. 73, so it wasnāt too far off, but again, I made the mistake of not updating to the most recent just to make sure.
The reason, I believe, was in a setting that I had made in
Control Panel/WebFiles-Web page/ RealTime ClientFTP page, where on the right hand side the box āDensity Altitude instead of Heat Index in dataā was checked.
With the temps and humidity here, the density altitude was 2100 feet to 4000ā over the past couple of days.
So, having reset that and rebooted after making sure the latest version was what I was running, Iām all peachy here.

Thanks for the comments and to allow me to track down where the problem was lurking. Dale
Hey everyone, another update has been put on the server
Notable changes:
- Dutch and Danish are now supported
- Beaufort Scale added to wind gauge / wind units
- The windchill gauge can now be set to heat index mode
- The windchill gauge can now be set to automatically swap between heat index and windchill mode
Full changelog: https://github.com/Yerren/FreshWDL/blob/master/Changelog.md
What you need to do to utilise update: Nothing, unless you want to change the new config settings regarding the windchill/heat index gauge (see below).
A special thanks to Michael S
I have a problem too: I physically saw the Heat Index gauge reading over 24

Hello,
I have a problem, at temperatures above 20
@ All,
I use the latest download here and it it does not work here either.
https://www.meteosauwerd.nl/weather/uploadWD/FreshWDLmaster.html
Kind regards,
Piet
Seems to be working when I look at it.
The only issue is that the windchill tooltip text still shows up, even when hovering over the heat index. Will need to fix thatā¦
If youāre only seeing windchill still, try Ctrl+F5.
It works here when the temperature falls below 18 degrees Celsius
Piet
Now for the dummy/non-programmer question.
did F5. Heat index comes up.
-
Will I have to do anything to my web files to make the heat index/wind chill change automatic? Everything I have is the first version.
-
Why is my W/m2 still not working? Sun will be up at 6 am CDT.
-
I just checked your site, and itās all set up to switch between heat index and windchill automatically
-
Itās not working yet because I got the flu (itās flu season on this side of the world!) and was out of action for a while, so still not sorted that one out, sorry!
Hopefully sometime soonā¦

Itās been awhile (years) since Iāve had WDisplayLive running. Thought Iād give FreshWDL a try with the demise of Flash approaching. Seems like it should be simple enough, but . . . Iāve got a couple of problems going.
I canāt get the clientraw.txt file to upload to my ftp server. 1st screen shot is of the Web files panel that I believe is setup correctly. The FTP setting are correct, I use Cyberduck and Iām getting on the server with these settings. Could there be another panel somewhere that also needs to be setup? I tried to uncheck, āReset the FTP error countā and āI am running my own web server, and no FTP neededā, to see if that would force it to FTP the file. They wonāt stay unchecked, next time the panel is opened they are checked. The clientraw file is updating in the documents/wdisplay/webfiles folder so that is working.
I uploaded the clientraw file along with config.js and FreshWDLmaster.html files to the server just to see what it would look like. It comes up as data currently unavailable. (2nd & 3rd screen shots) Iām on a Mac, checked the JAVA settings, Iām running the most current JAVA, web brower is enabled. I also put the config and html files in the documents/wdsiplay/webfiles folder with the same results. Iād like to get the minute by minute clientraw file on local computers vs the every 5 minutes that Iām trying to upload to the FTP site.
Iām not sure what Iām doing wrong here. Are there more files needed besides the config and html files? Iāve downloaded both the freshwdl.zip and FreshWDL-1.1.1a.zip files. The 1.1.1a had all sorts of other files and folders that just for grins I put all those up on my FTP server with the same results so they have been deleted.
Iām sure there is massive operator error going on here, can someone point me in the right direction?
You have checked the box for ārunning my own server, no FTP neededā, but your post has āI canāt get the clientraw.txt file to upload to my ftp serverā.
Do you want to upload the file by FTP?
Yes I want to upload the file to FTP server. Iāve repeatedly unchecked the ārunning my own server, no FTP neededā hit OK then when I reopen the panel it is checked again.
Hmmm, well thatās the problem. In windows I would direct you to Control Panel, FTP & Connections, where there is a similar setting which could be forcing that one, but I donāt know if you have that in mac :dontknow:
Humm, OK now it is uploading to the FTP Server, along with clientrawdaily.txt, clientrawexttra.txt and clientrawhour.txt and the web page is working. I suspect that I needed more than just the clientraw.txt. Right now itās updating every 30 seconds, not sure how itās doing that, Iāve got the upload set at 5 minutes. WOW really looks good. I guess it just needed to think about it for awhile . . .
I put the config.js and FreshWDLmaster.html files in the documents/wdisplay/webfiles folder hoping to use that on the local network but still coming back as not receiving data. I tried putting all the files from the 1.1.1a files into the web folder which has no effect. Is there a way to have it work on the local network separately from the Internet?
Ideally what Iād like is to have the near realtime on the local network and a 5 minute upload to the FTP server/Internet.
Didnāt mean to start this off with the same Humm. Your reply was coming in as this was going out
Hey
At this stage, it is not possible (as far as Iām aware) to run the system on a local network.
However, uploading a text file uses very, very little data, so having the clientraw file upload in close to real time is definitely an option that many people use to get pretty much real time reporting.
