Heavy hourly snowfall

Not sure if any of you read about this. But it was quite an week just down the highway from me

https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/weather/2017/12/08/alaska-just-reported-one-of-the-most-extreme-snowfall-rates-on-record-10-inches-per-hour/

That area has been full of studies for heavy snow fall in the past.

shame the report does not also list metric
I cant get my head around inches reported as big numbers

Ok Brian was an slow day I guess for lower 48 to have an article on Alaskan weather. They generally don’t write articles about us up here unless it has to do something for the green movement.

at the 10 mark it was 25.4 CM, in 24 hours 101.6 cm and by the end of the snow fall 198.12 cm had fallen. Understand where you are coming from as I read stuff in meterics. Only thing going here for me in engineering some of the reading we took where in mm in overhaul work on german engines we had MAK
