Vantage Vue ISS Direction

Sorry if I am a bit slow on this.

I now have my Vue set up but will need to tweak the direction that the ISS is pointing. In the manual for us Southern Hemisphere residents, the instructions state to point the solar cells to the North, it also states if pointing the cells to the North, that the console wind direction needs to be calibrated.

I am not good with North South, East West blah blah blah, so I have downloaded an app for my phone that acts as a compass.

Can someone confirm when pointing the solar panels to he North that this instruction is meaning Due North at 360 degrees.

Other than that, all is going perfectly and so far am impressed at this unit which is far superior to the old WMR-968 that I had in place for 13 years.

Thanks.

Due north and not compass north
you can add a 180 wind offset in WD
or set the wind offset on the console (follow the instructions in the manual)

As Brian posted, if using a smart phone app be sure it shows true and not magnetic north. I suggest setting the 180 degree correction on the console.
