New Tags Request - Twilight + Week
« on: June 22, 2017, 04:07:40 PM »
Hi

Would it be possible to add the following tags:
  • %morningnauttwilight% = morning nautical twilight time (when the sun is 6 to 12 degrees below the horizon)
  • %eveningnauttwilight% = evening nautical twilight time (when the sun is 6 to 12 degrees below the horizon)
  • %maxsolarweek% = Max solar (W/m2) over the last week
  • %maxsolarweekday% = Day of max solar over the last week
  • %maxuvweek% = Max UV over the last week
  • %maxuvweekday% = Day of max UV over the last week
  • %sunshinehourstodateweek% = Sunshine hours from the solar sensor this week

I imagine you are  #-o right now seeing the popularity of tag suggestions........

Thanks

I have added the other custom tags (except the last one at this stage) to another update (same URL as above)

Whoopsss, sorry I forgot to check back as I have been busy working on my house for a few weeks.

Thank you so much for adding these - you have mail as an appreciation of your ongoing support and efforts  :D

Just some minor observations after trying these out today:
1. %maxsolarweek% has a trailing % e.g. '990.0%'
2. %maxsolarweekday% and %maxuvweekday% could these be Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun for consistency (%maxtempweekday%, %maxhumweekday%, %maxbaroweekday%, etc)?

Hi Brian,

Just wondering if at some stage you could look at the possibility of adding some stability index tags please i.e
Lifted Index
K Index
Total Totals
CAPE
Convective Index

Regards
Guru

you need access to weather baloon sounding data
WXSIM does provide that data though I think you will find
