solar data from clientraw txt file

Hi

I am trying to import data into WD from a clientraw file.
I have the data with in the file but WD does not appear to be using or plotting it.

How do I configue WD to use the solar data a produced form my home built station.

I have attatched a copy of my clientraw.txt file.

Hoping some one can help.
Michael

Hi
do you mean you have WD set to client mode and set to use this clientraw.txt file as a data source?
if so, have you set to use the solar data in the client/server setup?
if so, the solar data needs to be in data position 127
so you would need to add in more NULL (e.g 0) then that data

Hi

WD is set up for client mode and uses a clientraw.txt from my raspberry pi weather station.

you say I need to setup to use solar data in the client/server setup.

please take a look at the image, is this correct?

So do I need to replace 0 (unsed) with NULL?

And change the data from 34 Actual solar reading to 127 VP solar wm/2 reading, and fill all the empty positions with word NULL.

Then how do I setup the Solar Sensor options?

no , i said NULL is e.g 0
you need to fill in the missing data that needs to come before where WD expects the solar data to be (i.e data positoin 127) with 0’s (and or where it expects text, eg —)

Thanks for taking the time.

I have produced a new clientraw.txt.

Is this correct?

I’m still not getting any solar plots etc.

What Have I missed?

One thing is that you have a space in “Whimick Met” which will upset the position count (it is a space delimited file). Also that field usually includes the time “ShastaCo-12:30:44” but I’m not sure if that will make a difference.

you can use an online clientraw checker

@Whimick: I suggest grabbing a copy of someone’s real WD clientraw file, verify that it drives WD, and then test what you are doing by substituting data into the file.

Could some kind person post a working version of clientraw.txt with solar

Hi,

Am I right in thinking that the solar data is being picked up by WD but has a value 10 times smaller than the data in the clientraw file it should be 593 not 59.3, is this correct, if not how do I correct it?

And why is it not being shown as a current % reading, or plotted on WD?

Please see attatched pictures

post or email me a copy of your clientraw.txt file

Clientraw as request plus another file to info

Please note that my latest effort has been renamed to Whimick-Metraw.txt

clientraw.txt (366 Bytes)

clientraw_test.txt (470 Bytes)

Whimick-Metraw.txt (366 Bytes)

the solar reading in the clientraw.txt file needs to have a decimal place (even if that is 0)
