For Sale All my Weather Equipment
« on: September 01, 2016, 07:28:50 PM »
My health is slipping.  So I'm going to sell parts of my life. So the family won't have to.

Davis Pro 2+  The whole system was reconditioned by Davis last fall.  It has the rain bucket heater.  With the two solar sensors.

Boltec PCI lightning detector. With NexStorm.  I also have the new lightning add on TOA.

An NOAAPort system.  Just about everything that NOAA does weather related.  Comes in on a Satellite NOAAPort system.  Free of charge.  Radar, Sat images, Weather report, and forecasts.  Doesn't depend on the internet to get them.

Two server class Proliant blade servers.  One has six hard drives.  The other has two.

We would have to talk to the software designers.  About the NexStorm, TOA and WD. If I can pass the licence on to you.

I'll be posting on Ebay early next week.

Does $550.00 sound right for the Dave?  $300.00 for the Boltec?  And $550.00 for the NOAAPort?  I'm just throwing the numbers out.  I would appreciate help with the pricing.

I have a parts/price breakdown for the NOAAPort.  If I can find it.

My only interest was in the Boltec, unfortunately, I am unable to determine if my computer has the right PCI port.  Computer technology has changed so much over the years and I haven't kept current, I don't understand the terminology anymore.

I can tell you I purchased a Boltec and I think I paid $800 for it around 2005.  I have no idea what it would be worth today.

This is an original PCI slot, as used by the Boltek PCI card. It is full height (about 4.5") card so probably needs a full size tower case PC. I have no idea of driver/software compatibility with current OS's. Boltek has discontinued it, but Ambient currently has the PCI stormtracker for $469.99, software extra.

It's currently running on my weather computer.

I normally try to sell at half price of new.  So I will have to adjust the price.

I think Ambient may have dropped the price to clear out their stock, it was way more expensive not too long ago. Plus I think the software is transferable for a fee, that would have to be confirmed but if so it's worth something.

Were you including the TOA in $300?

I think it was $200+ new a couple of months ago.  And I had better talk with the designer of it.  He is somewhat particular of who uses it.

Clearly, I need to get a list and spend some time with it.
