It’s been years since I’ve setup a HB 1-wire UV sensor and forgot what needs to be done. The Maxim onewireviewer sees the sensor, but when I go into device manager of XP, it needs a driver. And when I open the dallas1wire program in WD, It also says its missing a driver. What driver am I missing?

Ive downloaded the driver from here… Download 1-Wire/iButton Drivers for Windows | Design Center | Analog Devices
but Im still getting the driver error in the device manager and WD.
Something else is missing.
It’s been so long since I set mine up I forgot where I got the driver from. I know HB had a link on where to get the proper driver.

The driver loaded succesfully, but Now Im getting this error In the dallas1wire setup screen In WD.
1 wire shandle -201 port num 1 port type 6
The Default Port Type does not have a driver !
The sensor is installed on usb1.
Any ideas?
Don’t use 1 wire, but it doesn’t seem logical to me that “The Maxim onewireviewer sees the sensor” if the driver is missing :?
Me either, but the one wire viewer sees the sensor and gives me the ID number for it. Very strange.
I’d like to have a davis uv, but i think there a rip off.
Are you running the dallas1wire exe file without WD running?
Yeah, and I still get the error saying there isn’t a driver loaded.

have you selected the correct port and adaptor type in the dallas1wirereader program?
also you could try deleting all the iB*.* dll files where WD is installed, then restart the dallas1wirereader
