Web hosting site?

I used to use E-rice.net but I see that’s gone.

What do ya’ll use for hosting?
Gary

I use Hostmonster.com
They have a tech 24/7. Any problems or questions, I can get online help. They are always up and I have unlimited space. I am attaching my stats so you can see what I have available. Worth considering. you can also register your domain with them. you don’t have to but can.

Well, that’s as good as any and you’re pretty close to me so it must work well for you.

Thanks for replying!

I use StableHost. Have been with them for quite some time. Never had a downtime event since I have been with them. They’re cheap as well.

I would avoid the ‘free’ webhosts like 000webhost (and cousins) and even altervista.org – they have limitations that may impact your ability to have a near-realtime updating website. Choose a Linux/Apache hosting from one of the ‘big names’ like 1and1, godaddy, hostgator to have some durability to your site – smaller ISPs can come and go suddenly (like e-rice) leaving you in the lurch. You’ll pay between $5 and $10/month for hosting on the ‘big names’.

Or LiteSpeed

Hi, I use mdd hosting they seem to ok.

teal.

Ditto what Ken True said. I use GoDaddy, and am (currently) very happy with them. Any web hoster will have glitches on rare occasions, but GoDaddy’s problems are sometimes of my own making. My plan doesn’t allow more than 7 concurrent FTP processes, but this isn’t really a problem with Weather Display.

Awaking an older post here. I

What plan are you with? The basic starter one?

Just bought into the 3 year basic plan. Have a major snowstorm coming in tonight and tomorrow, so, I

Using Hostgator here.

Can’t recall why I picked them, perhaps pricing.

Anyone else using them?

I recently have been getting multiple security messages from them. Wondering if I should move off them to another

Hi all we use https://ifastnet.com/ the weather site has run on here for the last 5 years no problems at all

Hi team, I use BlueSkyData for my weather hosting, as well I co own the data-center and company  We host all types of sites running on Linux servers running cPanel for hosting.

www.blueskydata.co.nz

Thanks
Brendan

Both http://tepukeweather.nz/ and https://blueskydata.co.nz/ are loading slowly for me here in California :frowning:

Thats odd, but our servers are not in the US… I have been in Las Vegas and all where loading fine…
We would like to get a cache server in the US one day.

But for now we will stay downunder.

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting it :?

https://www.bluehost.com/ So far I really like them, but having issues with my Wordpress blog still trying to sort out. Would not recommend Hostmonster which i just moved from which i was having issues with. Such as I installed a sitemap generator, 3 long chats with them and at best it ran an hour and never finished. On bluehost it runs in minutes and does what it is supposed to do and I did not have to talk to them about it at all. I was getting prr end of file errors with my https Hostmonster could not seem to fix. Last straw was someone hacked my wordpress and installed a lot of malware, hostmonster took my site down and would not put it back up unless I paid them $70 a month to install a firewall and clean up the malware I had already deleted. My hosting expires with Hostmonster in 3 weeks anyway.
