United Kingdom real time river levels

Hi,

I am sure I am well behind the curve, but just seen that the Environment Agency (who I ironically work for) have now got real time river levels in the web. There are a few companies that make the data available e.g. Www.shoothil.com. I have embedded a couple of widgets into my site.

I have also noticed that the Environment Agency now provide API to allow people access to the real time data. I was just wondering if there was anyone out there much cleaverer than me that would be able to write a script that could reduce real time graphs of a selected river level location? Web site location is:

What exactly would you like to achieve

Jachym,

Would love to have something that plotted a graph of user defined interval (day, week, month etc) for a user defined river (with default). Would be lovely if the page could also display some stats for the river selected such as current level/flow, max, min, average etc. All displayed in a lovely graph!

I assume that’s quite a tall order?

Paul

OK Paul,

I will look closer at the API and what is possible.

J.

Jachym,

Thanks so much.

Paul
