Cell phone IP Webcam

I started playing with the IP Webcam app for an old Samsung cell phone that I no longer use and it turns it into an IP Cam. Currently I just have in pointing out a window to see how well it works. There is no reason you couldn’t enclose it in a waterproof box and put it outside. The picture is great and the app has been running for a few days now with no problems. I am also streaming it on-line and it works well for that too. You can password protect pages to restrict access. Overall, an easy and cheap way to setup a webcam.

It’s not fully integrated into my weather website, but I have a sample page for the live stream.

That’s a good one

I was doing that also with a old galaxy s3 till the battery blew up like a balloon and poped open the back of the phone and put a crack in the screen. From what I can tell I guess it ether got to hot or the charger over charged it.

But I did get a 2nd one going at http://www.wunderground.com/webcams/tonspa/1/show.html
