WML not collecting clientraw data / admin issues?
« on: August 07, 2015, 10:41:32 AM »
Before this is logged as a bug - is anyone else having these issues?

1)  Many WD stations on one of my maps have not appeared with data for around a fortnight ( METARS are fine). This includes my own station WD00146 which is not reporting errors either. My clientraw.txt file is right where it should be.

2) When I go into the Admin utility and use Map Management - modify selected map, the Main Map Details are shown but when I proceed  to check which stations are on my map I just get a totally blank screen apart from the page header.

Checking for available stations with map co-ordinates works: for example this has an output but gives a vastly reduced number of stations from what was there say a year ago:  http://wxd.weather-watch.com/wml_sys/display_stations.php?urlat=55000000&lllat=50000000&urlong=-2000000&lllong=5000000

I've just paid/renewed my subscription so it can't be that!

I'm using Windows 7 / Chrome browser.

There was a serious server crash a few weeks ago and WML has not fully recovered yet. The author/admin is away at the moment but I'm sure he will be working on it when he gets back.

Yes, I know about the crash but it seemed to be all back to normal about 3/4 weeks ago. I was wondering if this is a new problem and just mine - but it's not critical...

Hmmm, I looked at another WML before replying to your post and I didn't see any WD stations on there either, but I
can see in my own log files that the data collector is running :dontknow:

DaveK, I am seeing the same thing.  It's been a month since you posted and the issues have still not been addressed.

The WML Management tool is not working correctly and the CWOP stations have not updated for at least 6 weeks.

Yes, after Weather-Watch.com came back from being down for a day or two recently, the WML Admin came back as did the CWOP collector which had been down for about two months.  However, even though the WML Admin system is still up and running perfectly the CWOP collector crashed again after less than two days and is still down

Why I have the following report from the Manage clientraw.txt data collection
"The file at the clientraw.txt URL doesn't appear to be the correct format"
Can you check please ?? the URL is:
http://weather.kopaida-airport.gr/uploadWD/clientraw.txt

Hi Brian,
I tested with the WD clientraw parse and seems to be ok except from the wind speed (wind cups are broken in 72km/h !!!!). Davis weather station is on the way.
The only that I had change was the name from kopaida to kopaida_airport. Somewhere I read that they dont want any special character like "_" in the name and I have change it back to "kopaida".
Also I found that the domain name .kopaida.club was not acceptable in WML and I put an alias to it as .kopaida-airport.gr
Thanks
John
Btw I see all this signs here with the weather flag and I wonder how can I setup and for me hi hi.
